On August 17, the second qualifying stage of the World Fireworks Championship starts in Sochi Olympic Park. The first stage took place at the same site in July-August 2017.

Russian pyrotechnic teams will compete for the right to represent our country in the competition, the final of which will be held in the resort city of Sochi in 2019 (the postponement occurred due to the 2018 FIFA World Cup football matches this year): «Pyroclass» (Moscow), «Pyrotechnic Theater «Volga Fireworks» (Samara), «Pirocom» (Cherkessk), «Pirosnab-Volga region» (Cheboksary), «Fireworks of Russia» (Sergiev Posad), and others.

Pyrotechnic displays will be held on the Central Square of the Sochi Olympic Park on August 17, 18, 24, 25 and September 1,2, 2018. Performances will start at 21:00 and end at 22:30. The entrance of the audience is from 19:00.

On each of these days, viewers will see both fountain shows and pyrotechnic shows. Entrance to the event will be carried out only with a ticket. The entrance fee for adults and children over 7 years old will be 400 rubles. Children under 7 years of age and citizens with disabilities of any group attend the event free of charge.

Tickets can be purchased on the website , and in the hotel complex «Barkhatnye sezony» at the reception counters. During the festival, tickets are available at the ticket offices of the Olympic Park.

One participant of the championship performs every day. The participant will prepare pyrotechnic displays according to the competition task and demonstrate 3 compositions of fireworks lasting 5-6 minutes under various musical accompaniments.

The organizer of the event is Pyrotechnic Technologies LLC, a subsidiary of Rostec State Corporation.
