More than a third of tickets for the 2014 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX were sold in the first week: Photo

The first week of sales confirmed the high interest of fans in the 2014 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX of RUSSIA. During this period, the promoter company sold more than a third of the tickets. In addition to sales on the official website, the organizers of the Grand Prix received a large number of orders from Russian and international companies.

Sales began on May 30, 2014 on the promoter's website www.sochiautodrom.ru. In total, more than 45,000 tickets of all categories are on sale. Residents of the Central and Southern Federal Districts showed the greatest activity. In Moscow, Sochi and Krasnodar, more than 60% of the total number of tickets were purchased. The most popular were the main grandstand and the free seating area at the Bolshoy Ice Palace.

In addition to the main event – the 2014 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX of RUSSIA - viewers will see the stages of the GP2 and GP3 racing series, get access to the F1 Village zone, concerts and a bright entertainment program, the details of which the organizers will reveal in the near future.

Sochi Autodrom is the first circuit in Russia to host FORMULA 1 races, as well as the only circuit in the world located in the Olympic Park.

On October 12, 2014, at 15:00 Moscow time, Sochi Autodrom will host the first stage of FORMULA 1 racing in the history of Russia.
