Formula 1 fans from all over the world gather at the Russian Grand Prix
Among foreigners who have already become holders of tickets for the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix, every fourth is an Austrian citizen.
According to international operators, Austrians have purchased about 24% of the total number of tickets sold abroad. In second place is the United Kingdom, whose residents bought 22% of tickets. Interestingly, both countries also host the Formula 1 Grand Prix. At the same time, Sweden took the third place in terms of sales, where the «royal races» last came in 1978.
High interest in the Russian Grand Prix was demonstrated by the countries of the Scandinavian Peninsula, in which a total of 24.7% of tickets were purchased.
A large number of fans will come to Sochi Autodrom from another hemisphere, so only the USA and Brazil account for about 10% of sales. Nevertheless, the palm is held by European fans who have bought more than three-quarters of tickets sold abroad.
