On July 28, 2017, the qualifying stage of the World Fireworks Championship starts in Sochi Olympic Park.

Eight Russian pyrotechnic teams will compete for the right to represent our country in the competition, the final of which will be held in the resort city of Sochi in 2018, among them «Pyro-Ross», «Pyrotechnic Yards of Peterhof», «Fireworks of the best collections» and «Pyro-show».

Pyrotechnic displays will be held on the Central Square of the Sochi Olympic Park on July 28-29, August 4-5, August 11-12 and August 25-26. Performances will start at 21:00 and end at 22:30. The entrance of the audience is from 19:00.

Tickets can be purchased on the website Parter.ru , Ticketland.ru , Bil24.ru and in the hotel complex «Barkhatnye sezony». During the festival, tickets are available at the ticket offices of the Olympic Park.

One participant of the championship performs on one day. Each participant will prepare pyrotechnic displays according to the competition task and demonstrate 3 compositions of fireworks lasting 5-6 minutes to various musical accompaniments.

The organizer of the event is Pyrotechnic Technologies LLC, a subsidiary of Rostec State Corporation.

Specialists of Pyrotechnic Technologies LLC took part in the preparation of such significant events as fireworks at the opening and closing ceremonies of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Paralympic Games 2014 in Sochi, in honor of the 850th anniversary of Moscow, the 1000th anniversary of the cities of Kazan and Yaroslavl, the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg, the 70th anniversary of Victory, The closing ceremonies of the Confederations Cup and many others.

Pyrotechnic Technologies LLC is also the organizer of the largest International fireworks Festival «Rostec» in Moscow.

The partner of the qualifying stage of the World Fireworks Championship is the State Corporation Rostec, which includes almost all pyrotechnic enterprises in Russia engaged, among other things, in the production of fireworks.

The first International Fireworks Festival was held in Moscow in August 2015 on Vorobyovy Gory with the support of the Moscow Government. Eight of the world's leading teams took part in the festival. Pyrotechnics teams participated in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Barcelona and Turin, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk, the fireworks show of the Beijing Olympics, the APEC fireworks show in Beijing. The theme of the 2015 festival was national color. Then more than three thousand volleys were launched into the sky, and pyrotechnics for one

the 8-minute show weighed several tons. According to estimates of the Moscow police department, the festival was attended by about 500 thousand spectators.

The second Rostec International Fireworks Festival was held in Moscow in July 2016. Eight leading pyrotechnic teams competed for the title of the winner of the festival and presented the audience with an exciting multimedia show. Last year, the theme of the festival was the music of cinema. Thousands of explosions of colors and lights organically combined with musical compositions from famous movies, creating a single thematic concept. Among the participants were the best pyrotechnic teams of Kazakhstan, Estonia, Russia, France, China, Malta, Portugal and Azerbaijan. Each of them has many awards and a unique experience of holding such large-scale events as the opening and closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, the fire lighting ceremony, the opening and closing of the First European Games and many others.

Last year, each of the teams was given an average of about eight minutes. In total, the participants fired more than 50,000 volleys using 25 tons of pyrotechnics. The height of the fireworks reached 300 meters.

In 2017. The festival will be held on August 19-20 in Moscow. Theme of the Festival: «Moscow on 7 hills». The announced participants of the festival are teams from Russia, China, Brazil, Japan, Armenia, Croatia, Austria, Romania.
