The swearing-in ceremony of the recruits of the CSKA sports companies will be held in the Olympic Park
On May 21, 2016 at 10.00 in the Olympic Park of the city of Sochi, a solemn ritual of taking the Military oath of recruits, members of the Russian national teams in Olympic sports selected for further service in the sports companies of CSKA will take place.
More than 200 athletes representing 30 Olympic sports, including 19 summer athletes, will be called up to four sports companies, which are stationed in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Samara.
Among the recruits there is one Honored Master of Sports of Russia and 13 masters of sports of international class. Among them: world and European champion, Olympic license holder trampolinist Andrey Yudin, world and European cycling track champion, junior world record holder Matvey Zubov, winner of the junior World Championship, Russian and European champion weightlifter Rodion Bochkov.
Many of those who will swear allegiance to their Fatherland on May 21 represent summer sports and are included in the list of candidates for participation in the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Representatives of winter disciplines will have to defend the honor of our Motherland and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at the III Winter World Military Games CISM, which will be held from February 22 to 28, 2017 in Sochi. The program of the Games includes 7 sports. The decision to hold the III World Winter Games in Russia was made on May 22, 2015 in Kuwait at the 70th General Assembly of the International Council of Military Sports CISM. In total, about 4,000 athletes from 60 countries will take part in the Games. 44 sets of awards will be awarded in individual and team competitions.
